LINHUI TITANIUM offers Grade 5 (Gr5) material with an outstanding strength-to-weight ratio and produces precise 6al4v titanium sheet that complies with ASTM B265. Our sheets are ≥0.5 mm thick, 1000–2000 mm wide, and up to 6000 mm long thanks to carefully regulated cold and hot rolling processes. This titanium sheet retains mechanical integrity up to 400°C with a minimum tensile strength of 895 MPa and a yield strength of 828 MPa. Pickling and polished surface finishes are available, and for consistent forming performance, the thickness tolerance is controlled within ±0.05mm. With a density of 4.43 g/cm³, it is 45% lighter than steel and offers better corrosion resistance thanks to spontaneous TiO2 passive film generation.

Manufacturing Process

We utilize vacuum arc remelting (VAR) to produce homogeneous ingots. Multiple remelts eliminate segregation and ensure chemical uniformity.

Hot rolling reduces ingot thickness at controlled temperatures below beta transus (980-995°C). This creates equiaxed alpha-beta microstructure.

Cold rolling achieves final gauge with ±0.05mm precision. Intermediate annealing cycles prevent work hardening and cracking during reduction passes.

Solution treatment and aging (STA) can be applied upon request. Final pickling removes oxide scale, while polishing achieves mirror finishes for critical applications.

Internal discontinuities more than 1 mm are detected by 100% ultrasonic testing. Surface-breaking flaws are detected by eddy current inspection down to a depth of 0.1 mm.

According to ASTM E8, tensile testing confirms mechanical properties. Uniform heat treatment across sheet dimensions is ensured via hardness mapping.

Optical emission spectrometry chemical analysis verifies conformance with composition. Grain size and phase distribution that satisfy AMS 4911 standards are shown by metallographic analysis.
