Grade 6 Titanium Bar

XI AN LINHUI IMPORT AND EXPORT Co., Ltd. manufactures Grade 6 Titanium Bar in full compliance with ASTM B348 standards, offering billets, bars, rods, and wire forms with precisely controlled mechanical properties. This alpha-phase titanium alloy features 4.0-6.0% aluminum and 2.0-3.0% tin, delivering minimum tensile strength of 827 MPa (120 ksi) and yield strength of 793 MPa (115 ksi). Our production achieves stable service performance up to 480°C with superior weldability compared to Grade 5 alloys. You'll find these materials ideal for gas turbine engine casings, aerospace structural members, and chemical processing equipment where creep resistance and oxidation stability are critical.

Key Features & Benefits

Excellent weldability and medium-high strength are combined in Grade 6 Titanium Bar. A persistent oxide layer that is impervious to corrosion at high temperatures is produced by the aluminum-tin chemistry. During welding, you gain from low phase segregation, which guarantees uniform characteristics throughout joints.

Under prolonged structural loads, the alloy demonstrates exceptional creep resistance. Its density of 4.48 g/cm³ gives it an advantage over steel in terms of strength to weight. Up to 480°C in continuous operations, you can count on consistent performance without material deterioration.

Manufacturing Process

We employ vacuum arc remelting (VAR) to ensure chemical homogeneity throughout each billet. Controlled hot forging between 900-1050°C refines the microstructure for optimal grain structure. Multiple reduction passes achieve your specified diameter tolerances within ±0.5mm.

Heat treatment follows forging to stabilize the alpha phase and optimize mechanical properties. Our cold straightening process maintains straightness within 1mm per meter. Final machining and centerless grinding deliver surface finishes to your exact requirements.

Quality Inspection

To find internal discontinuities, every batch is subjected to 100% ultrasonic testing (UT) in accordance with ASTM E213. On representative samples, we conduct metallographic analysis, tensile testing, and hardness verification. Optical emission spectroscopy is used to confirm the chemical composition.

EN 10204 3.1 certificates with complete heat number tracking are given to you. On request, SGS, TÜV, or DNV can conduct a third-party inspection. Every production batch is guaranteed to be of the same quality thanks to our ISO 9001:2015 system.
