Manufacturing Process
To attain exact dimensional tolerances, we use controlled cold rolling. Weld seams and weak corrosion sites are eliminated by pilgering seamless tubes (ASTM B861) from extruded billets.
By using autogenous TIG welding without filler metal, welded tubes (ASTM B862) preserve the corrosion characteristics of the base metal. Remaining stress is removed by post-weld annealing at 650–750°C. Oxide-free surfaces for pharmaceutical-grade applications are created by bright annealing in vacuum furnaces.
Quality Inspection
We perform 100% eddy current testing (ASTM E426) to detect surface defects. Ultrasonic testing identifies internal flaws in seamless products. Every tube undergoes pneumatic or hydrostatic pressure testing.
Chemical composition verification via ICP ensures hydrogen content remains below 0.015% to prevent embrittlement. Flaring and flattening tests confirm weld seam ductility. You receive EN 10204 3.1 certificates with full heat number traceability.
