Titanium Alloy Ti5Al2.5Sn Description
Titanium Alloy Ti5Al2.5Sn, 2.5% Tin, and low Oxygen. Ti5Al2.5Sn can serve for high temperatures (480°C), with intermediate strength and improved high-temperature strength compared to unalloyed Ti, moreover, it has excellent weld fabricability, good oxidation resistance, Microstructure stability, Non-heat-treatable (contains only iron impurity as a beta-stabilizing element).
Ti-5-2.5 Microstructure:
Equiaxed alpha – when treated/worked below beta transus, Acicular alpha – when treated/worked above beta transus, Beta (bcc) – small amounts may be present
