Send InquiryGr5 Titanium Rod – High-Strength Ti-6Al-4V Alloy for Critical Applications
LINHUI TITANIUM manufactures premium Gr5 titanium rod (Ti-6Al-4V) engineered to solve the strength-to-weight challenges in demanding industries. Our titanium rod delivers a tensile strength of ≥895 MPa and yield strength of ≥828 MPa, while maintaining a density of just 4.43 g/cm³—60% lighter than steel equivalents.
Each rod undergoes 100% ultrasonic testing and meets ASTM B348, AMS 4928, and ISO 5832-3 standards. With over 200 tons of stock inventory and delivery within 3–7 days for standard sizes, we support aerospace fasteners, offshore drilling tools, and biomedical instruments globally. Our cold-rolled process ensures thickness tolerance within ±0.05mm for consistent machining performance.
Key Features & Benefits
Better Ratio of Strength to Weight
The titanium rod is perfect for racing car parts and aviation structural components since it has a high load-bearing capability without being overly heavy.
Outstanding Resistance to Corrosion
For marine and chemical processing environments, the creation of a passive oxide layer provides protection against seawater, chlorides, and industrial chemicals.
Heat-Treatable to Improve Performance
For high-stress applications such as landing gear and turbine blades, solution treatment and aging (STA) further increases strength.

Manufacturing Process
Raw Material Selection
We purchase titanium sponge from approved mills, guaranteeing traceability through the use of heat number records.
VAR, or vacuum arc remelting
For uniform mechanical qualities, double or triple melting removes impurities and homogenizes the alloy composition.
Rolling and Hot Forging
Billets are hot-rolled to intermediate diameters after being forged at regulated temperatures (900–1050°C) to improve grain structure.
Straightening and Cold Rolling
Precision cold rolling is used to achieve final size while retaining dimensional tolerance of ±0.05mm for an excellent surface finish.
Quality Inspection
· 100% Ultrasonic Testing (UT): Detects internal flaws down to 0.5mm
· Eddy Current Testing (ECT): Identifies surface cracks
· Tensile & Hardness Testing: Batch verification per ASTM E8 standards
· Chemical Analysis: OES spectroscopy ensures alloy compliance
· Dimensional Inspection: CMM verification for diameter and straightness
· Third-Party Certification: SGS, BV, TÜV reports available upon request

FAQ
Q: Can you provide material test certificates?
A: Yes, EN 10204 3.1 certificates are standard. Third-party inspection (SGS, BV) available upon request.
Q: What is your minimum order quantity?
A: Stock items start from 100 kg. Custom orders typically require 500 kg minimum.
Q: Do you offer machining services?
A: We provide basic cutting and surface treatment. For complex machining, we can recommend trusted partners.
Q: Is your Gr5 titanium rod suitable for medical implants?
A: Standard Grade 5 is used for instruments. For permanent implants, we recommend Grade 23 ELI (ASTM F136).
Q: How do you ensure corrosion resistance?
A: The passive titanium dioxide layer forms naturally. We can provide additional pickling or passivation treatment if needed.
