Ti-6Al-4V/Ti-6Al-4VELI titanium alloy is an α-β two-phase titanium alloy, containing 6% α-stabilizing element aluminum and 4% β-stabilizing element vanadium. It has a hardness of approximately 320 HV and a density of 4.44 g/cm³. It can withstand long-term high-temperature environments around 400°C and short-term temperatures up to 600°C.
This Ti-6Al-4V/Ti-6Al-4VELI titanium alloy offers excellent overall performance, characterized by balanced mechanical properties, superior corrosion resistance, high specific strength, and good toughness and weldability. Therefore, it is widely used in aerospace, petrochemical, marine engineering, medical and surgical implants, automotive, and other fields.
According to the GB/T3620.1-2016 standard, its chemical composition is: titanium (Ti) balance, iron (Fe) ≤ 0.30, carbon (C) ≤ 0.10, nitrogen (N) ≤ 0.05, hydrogen (H) ≤ 0.015, oxygen (O) ≤ 0.20, aluminum (Al) 5.5-6.75, and vanadium (V) 3.5-4.5.
In terms of mechanical properties, according to the GB/T2965-2023 standard, its tensile strength σb ≥ 895 MPa, residual elongation stress σr0.2 ≥ 825 MPa, elongation δ5 ≥ 10%, and reduction of area ψ ≥ 25%.
