With 30 titanium metal production lines and 21 years of manufacturing experience, LINHUI TITANIUM has two specialized facilities. Our Bending Titanium Tubings are designed to satisfy the most exacting industrial specifications, providing precisely shaped parts that minimize leak routes in vital systems and do away with welded seams.
We maintain stringent quality control with ISO 9001:2015, SGS, and TÜV certifications, and we have an annual production capacity of 800 tons. Grades 1, 2, 9, and Ti-6Al-4V alloys with center line radii as tight as 1.5D are all handled by our sophisticated cold-bending and induction-bending capabilities. We ensure that your project is completed on time by delivering worldwide by FedEx, DHL, air freight, and sea freight.
Key Features & Benefits
Optimization of Seamless Flow
In hydraulic and chemical processing systems, our bent titanium tubings reduce pressure loss and turbulence by doing away with the requirement for welded elbows. This design preserves the corrosion-resistant oxide layer of the material while improving fluid dynamics.
Better Springback Management
We use precision mandrel bending to offset the high yield strength-to-modulus ratio of titanium. This avoids frequent flaws that jeopardize structural integrity in high-pressure applications, such as wall thinning, ovality, and wrinkling.
Sturdy & Lightweight
Despite having a 40% lower density than stainless steel, titanium has better strength-to-weight ratios. Reduced bulk benefits your automotive and aerospace components without compromising mechanical performance.

Manufacturing Process
Step 1: Getting the Material Ready
We procure seamless or welded titanium tubings that meet ASTM B861/B862 requirements. Every batch is inspected upon arrival for mechanical qualities and dimensional accuracy.
Step 2: Annealing Process
To reduce residual stresses and increase ductility, tubes are solution-annealed at 700°C to 900°C. This procedure is crucial for reducing springback during cold bending.
Step 3: Bending Mandrels
We employ rotary draw bending machines with wiper dies and hardened mandrels that are controlled by CNC. By supporting the inner wall, the mandrel keeps the wall's thickness constant during the bend and prevents collapse.
Step 4: Compensation for Springback
Based on the bend radius and material grade, our engineers compute overbend angles. This guarantees that, upon elastic recovery, the final geometry satisfies your set tolerances.
Step 5: Concluding Exam
100% dimensional verification with a CMM. Any surface flaws or microcracks introduced during forming are found using eddy current and ultrasonic testing.
Quality Inspection
100% Dimensional Verification: Bend angle, center line radius, and ovality are measured using a CMM.
According to ASTM E213, ultrasonic testing (UT) finds internal discontinuities.
According to ASTM E571, Eddy Current Testing (ECT) detects surface cracks and weld seam integrity.
Pressure Testing: Hydrostatic testing for essential applications up to 1.5× design pressure.
Complete EN 10204 3.1 certificates with heat number tracking provide material traceability.
Materials & Processing
We use cold-rolled seamless titanium tubes, processed via CNC rotary draw bending and induction heating to minimize springback. Post-bending heat treatment (per AMS-H-81200) ensures dimensional stability.

Applications Of Bending Titanium Tubings
Defense & Aerospace
Our bent titanium tubings are used for fuel systems, environmental control ducts, and hydraulic lines. You obtain parts that reduce airframe weight while withstanding temperature ranges from -54°C to 400°C and cyclic vibration.
Chemical Processing In desalination and petrochemical plants, U-bend tubes for shell-and-tube heat exchangers withstand corrosion caused by chloride stress. Bending titanium tubings reduces failure sites in harsh acidic environments by doing away with welded junctions.
Marine & Automotive
Smooth bends that maximize exhaust flow and structural stiffness are advantageous for roll cages and racing exhaust systems. Under high-RPM conditions, thermal fatigue is prevented by the material's heat resistance.

FAQ
Q: What's the minimum bend radius you can achieve?
A: We typically produce 1.5D bends for most grades. Tighter radii require annealing and may have higher costs due to mandrel wear.
Q: Can you bend welded titanium tubes?
A: Yes. We inspect weld seams via X-ray or UT before bending to ensure integrity. The weld must be positioned away from the compression zone.
Q: How do you prevent surface scratches during bending?
A: We apply PTFE tape on contact surfaces and use polished dies. Final products undergo visual inspection per ASTM B600.
Q: Do you provide hydrostatic test reports?
A: Yes, for pressure vessel applications. We test to 1.5× your specified working pressure and provide certification.
Q: What's your lead time for urgent orders?
A: Rush orders can be expedited in 10–15 days with priority scheduling. Contact us to discuss your deadline.
