Chemical Composition

Our bolts are composed of Grade 8.8 and 10.9 alloy steel for common applications and 316L stainless steel for corrosive environments.

Grade 8.8: manganese 0.600.90%, carbon 0.250.55%, and tensile strength 800 MPa. Grade 10.9: 1000 MPa tensile strength with chromium additions and an increased carbon percentage of 0.250.55%.

For improved chloride resistance in chemical and marine processing, we provide 316L variants with 1618% chromium, 1014% nickel, and 2-3% molybdenum.

Manufacturing Process

Raw material undergoes hot forging to shape hexagonal heads with integrated flanges, followed by thread rolling for superior fatigue resistance compared to cut threads. This cold-working process increases surface hardness by 15-20%.

Heat treatment cycles are precisely controlled based on grade requirements. Grade 8.8 bolts undergo quenching at 850°C and tempering at 400°C. Surface treatments are applied post-heat treatment, with zinc plating thickness reaching 5-8μm for optimal corrosion protection.

Final inspection includes dimensional verification, torque testing, and metallographic analysis to ensure compliance with DIN6921 specifications.
