Pre-Installation Preparation

1. Material Compatibility Check

Confirm that the fastener material is compatible with the connected parts to avoid galvanic corrosion.

Check that the threads are clean and undamaged to prevent seizure or stripping during installation.

2. Tool Selection

Use a dedicated torque wrench to avoid over- or under-tightening with a standard adjustable wrench.

In high-temperature environments, nickel-based washers are required to prevent creep.

1. Regular Inspection

Inspect chemical equipment for corrosion every six months, with a particular focus on welds and areas of stress concentration.

When inspecting flange connections, confirm that the seals are free of deformation and cracking.

2. Anti-loosening Measures

Preferably use self-locking nuts or titanium bolts pre-coated with anaerobic adhesive to enhance vibration resistance.

Avoid using ordinary titanium alloys in environments that are electromagnetically sensitive.

Common Misconceptions and Risk Avoidance

1. Avoid Substituting Coarse for Fine: Fine-thread bolts should not be replaced with coarse threads, as this can cause them to loosen and break.

2. Prohibit Rough Disassembly: Use specialized tools and avoid knocking or forceful disassembly.

3. Environmental adaptability: In high humidity or corrosive media, Gr1/Gr2 industrial pure titanium should be used instead of Gr5 alloy.
